These are screen prints on paper in their most basic sense. Each print consists of 2-5 different screens depending on how many colors are used. Only pure colors screens are used as opposed to the RGB or CMYK method of creating colors from primary colored pixels. This was done to emphasize the analog qualities of this traditional process as to be in contrast to the digital mode of conception.
The title comes from the way one works with the software that generates the compositions. The drawing can be controlled manually or by the software, the author can seamlessly balance back in forth. This makes the possibility to have a much richer and humanistic composition. My initial concept of this project was to digitally create visual complexity and then represent it in a traditional fine art technique. Software was created to accomplish the visual composition as well as be able to create vector graphics so that the composition could be created at any scale with no pixilation. Then, the graphic was split by color into separate screens and finished in the traditional screen printing process.
